Have you noticed that your earlobes aren’t shaped quite as nicely as they once were? Have years of wearing heavy earrings caused them to sag? As many people age, they become concerned with rejuvenating and restoring the youthful appearance of their face and often times forget about other important areas such as the neck, hands, chest, and ear lobes! Sagging earlobes and stretched out piercings can actually be improved with dermal filler injections.
The dermal fillers add volume and restore a youthful shape to lobes that have been elongated and stretched from wearing heavy or large earrings.
Earlobe rejuvenation treatment restores droopy earlobes from:
- Wearing long, heavy earrings
- Volume loss
- Torn earlobe
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How is the procedure performed?
Earlobe rejuvenation/repair is accomplished by injecting a small amount of dermal filler, such as Restylane, Radiesse, or Juvederm into the earlobe to add volume and instantly expand the earlobe outward, creating a smaller, more youthful looking lobe.
How long will my results last?
The result of the earlobe repair is long lasting, up to one year or more.
What are the side effects associated with this procedure?
Following earlobe repair/rejuvenation with dermal fillers, the earlobes may be slightly swollen. This slight swelling will usually dissipate in 24 hours. Minor bruising is less common, but may occur and will subside in a few days.
How many earlobe repair/rejuvenation treatments using dermal fillers are needed to see results?
Typically, just one injectable filler treatment is needed to achieve fuller, more youthful appearing earlobes. Once the swelling subsides, a touch-up dermal filler treatment may be performed if more volume is desired or the earlobes were uneven prior to treatment.
Is the earlobe repair/rejuvenation treatment painful?
A topical anesthetic and cool packs are applied for several minutes prior to the earlobe repair/rejuvenation treatment, making the treatment virtually painless.
Can I resume wearing earrings after my procedure?
After the treatment and once swelling has subsided, patients are able to wear earrings normally.
